GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - André Mouton, who was one of the favourites in the Plaasjapie reality television series, is appearing on Kyk wie praat on television tomorrow, Wednesday 12 February.
Mouton is signed with Mossel Bay's Gemini Model and Talent Agency, which secured him the role on Kyk wie praat.
It is a show on kykNET, on Channel 144, which broadcasts on Wednesdays at 20:00.
It features children from age six to nine, who ask questions, and four adults, who must guess the answers.
Also, Mouton, his wife Karen and daughter Kate are extras in a Netflix drama series, Tuiskoms, which starts on 28 February.
The Mouton family lives in George.
In Tuiskoms, the main character, Fleur, who is a widow grieving her husband, moves with her daughter to her hometown, Wilderness, in search of a renewed sense of purpose, according to the Netflix description of the series. Filming took place in the Wilderness, Knysna, Victoria Bay and George areas.
The action centres on the florist shop Fleur owns.
Seasoned actors, Amalia Uys, Michelle André Mouton Botes, Jane de Wet and Dawid Minnaar star in Tuiskoms.
Gemini Model and Talent agency supplied actors for the more minor roles in the series as well as dozens of extras.
Other local actors signed with Gemini, who feature in Tuiskoms, with speaking roles, are Sue-Mari van der Walt, Julian Taute, Liandra Clasquin, Elmandy Jooste, Valeriia Sviridova, Bonnita Hoy, Ezmarelda Theart, Emmie Taute Benn, Louisa Hurling, Gert Calitz, Lynette Krige, Simone Botha, Shamila Le Kay, Abigail Stander, Lauren Marais and Latoscha Ollier.
Elmandy Jooste and Marthinus Stone from Gemini have the most notable speaking roles among the minor actors.
Jooste and Stone live in Mossel Bay.
