Conductor Richard Cock’s enthusiasm always ensures enjoyment of the annual concert by musicians, choirs and the audience alike. And luckily, this year the weather played along and offered a friendly 19º C day in contrast to the previous two years when everybody had to suffer for their love of music amidst very high temperatures.
Musicians, singers and choirs who would like to participate next year, are welcome to make contact with Deon Joubert at 044 874 2424.
Group Editors, sponsors of this concert, commended all individuals, choirs and orchestras involved. They were Richard Cock, the Garden Route Ensemble, George Music Society, Drini Malan-Botha, Voldi George, Outeniqua Recorder Ensemble, Outeniqua Primary School Choir, and the church choirs of Searle Memorial, NG Kerk Groot-Brak and St Mark’s Cathedral, and the Bergsig worship group.

The audience felt as much part of the event as any of the practiced participants.
