GEORGE NEWS - Cat Stevens admirers can enjoy a tribute show to the Nobel Peace prizewinner, megastar and multi-instrumentalist Yusuf / Cat Stevens tonight.
The show, Peace Train to a Wild World, a nostalgic and memorable tribute, will be performed at the Oakhurst Insurance George Arts Theatre at 19:30 tonight, Thursday 22 February.
Highlights of Yusuf's haunting melodies and soulful lyrics will be performed, giving a glimpse into the life of one of the world's greatest folk-rock artists from his birth to his current status as converted Muslim and humanitarian.
The tribute features Werner Carstens on lead guitar, mandolin, and backing vocals; Craig Stott on acoustic guitar and lead vocals; and Charl Strutt and Gavin Young on bass and drums respectively.
The group has enjoyed sold-out performances at various theatres and theatre supper venues in and around Cape Town and up-country.
