In celebration of this achievement the couple, who have been living in Sedgefield for quite some time and who have been stall holders on the food market since the opening of the Outeniqua Farmers Market in November 2011, put a huge Fougasse up for grabs - a Mediterranean olive bread from the South of France that Steff baked during the small hours of Saturday morning.
A Fougasse is filled and topped with sun dried tomatoes, onions, garlic, olives, peppers and Steff also added feta and tuna to give his recipe its own unique flavour.
Traditionally, the bread is placed in the middle of the
table where everyone breaks off a piece to eat at the family lunch.
Heilie Rhoodie from George (a bit of useless information - her husband's uncle was Eschel Rhoodie) won the lucky draw and took the Fougasse home to share with her family.
