Classical piano recital by acclaimed international pianist Gustavo Romero, with compositions by Scarlatti, Schumann, Ravel and Chopin.
Presented by the George Music Society, this concert takes place at George Arts Theatre (19:30).
Tickets: R170 per person, R50 for learners and only R150 for members, and are available at the theatre during office hours or at www.georgemusicsociety.co.za.

Etensuurkonsert by die Moederkerk met The Little Big Music School (13:00 tot 14:00), 'n koperblaasensemble onder leiding van Karl Ackerman. Ondersteun hierdie orkes van minderbevoorregte kinders wat groot uitdagings oorkom hul talente te ontwikkel. Toegang is gratis, maar donasies is welkom.
29 March
Fragments of Sound (15:00 and 19:00) at the Market Community Theatre. A vibrant dance show from the new studio, Bradwell Dance Collective. Local dance teacher Bradley Zeelie takes his company to greater heights. Tickets cost R100. Information: 081 070 9661.
5 April
Steve Newman, Auriol Hays and Dan Boshoff: Songs from around the way (19:00) at the Market Community Theatre. Acclaimed South African musician Steve Newman is set to perform in George. Steve is regarded as a maestro and is critically acclaimed for his original compositions and virtuosic playing.
Auriol Hays originally hails from the Garden Route as does Dan Boshoff. Hayes is renowned for her passionate voice and storytelling, and guitarist Dan Boshoff has been playing, recording and touring with a range of original projects over the last 20 years. Tickets cost R160 per person.
9 April
Easter Cantata: The Old Rugged Cross (18:30) at the Market Community Theatre. Well known Easter songs performed by Phyllis Goldblatt, Voldi George, Penny de Villiers, Francois le Roux, Elizabeth Forbes, Christopher Petrie, Johan Engelbrecht and Hester Krige. Tickets cost R100 @ the door or contact Heather Stead at 072 369 3304.
11 April
Theatre Sports Evening (19:00) at the Market Community Theatre. This fun event is hosted by Eden Theatre Community. About theatre sports: fast-paced, hilarious improvisation games where actors create scenes on the spot, guided by audience suggestions.
No scripts, just quick thinking and big laughs. Performers and audiences are welcome. Entrance is free, but any donations are appreciated to help with the ongoing improvement and development of the theatre. Contact Stretch at 076 981 4066.
