"The Slow Festival organisers are thrilled to welcome E10 Petroleum on board as title sponsors of the drive-in," said Amanda Dixon, Sedgefield Slow Festival coordinator.
The director of the E10 Petroleum group, Gary Carstens, said “We recognised the uniqueness of the drive-in and wanted to get involved. As a family growing up we would often load the car with friends, camping chairs, mattresses (we enjoyed being comfy), snacks and set up camp for an evening of old-school movie watching.”
This year the organisers will offer four different films on the three nights.
Food stalls at the Village Green will stay open a little later, allowing movie-goers to have an early dinner and stock up with treats before the start of the film. The Sedgefield Lions will also be selling popcorn, candy floss and food from their clubhouse.
Tickets (R40 per vehicle and R5 per person) will be sold at the entrance to the Sedgefield Village Green from 19:00 every evening.
