ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Three George dance schools are joining forces next week to raise much-needed funds for George Child and Family Welfare.
The BradWell Dance Collective, Diana Townsend School of Ballet and Kim Wessels Dance Studio will present A Pocket Full of Places - All Cultures, One Rhythm at the DR Mother Church's hall on 9 and 10 October.
Three performances will be staged over these two days.
The proceeds will support George Child and Family Welfare and its work with children and families in the community. The organisers say every ticket purchased and sponsorship contribution will help them make a meaningful contribution to the organisation.
Local businesses are also being encouraged to get behind the initiative. A sponsorship contribution of R250 is requested, although donations of any amount are welcome.
Some of the funds raised will help cover the costs of staging the production, allowing a greater contribution to be made to Child and Family Welfare.
Performances take place at 19:00 on 9 October, and 15:00 and 19:00 on 10 October. Tickets are R100 (adults) and R80 (scholars) on Webtickets. - Compiled by Michelle Pienaar
