The Classical Stars concert will be presented by the celebrated flutist Malané Hofmeyr-Burger. With her will be the much-acclaimed Bulgarian violinist Miro Chakaryan, and Olive Sandilands as collaborative pianist from Mossel Bay.
The Classical Stars concert takes place at the George Arts Theatre on Sunday 10 November at 15:30.
Malané Hofmeyr-Burger needs little introduction as her name and skill is known and mentioned wherever the very best of classical music is heard in South Africa. Similarly, Miro Chakaryan has been performing full-time across South Africa for many years. He is currently the concertmaster of the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Olive Sandilands has been known for her performances along the Garden Route since her relocation to Mossel Bay in 1997 and has previously performed with a variety of well-known artists and orchestras.
The programme will include music by Bach, Telemann, Jacques Ibert, César Cui and Henri Marteau. Advance bookings opened at PNA Stationers on Monday 28 October.
Tickets can also be purchased at the theatre door at the performance. A concert not to be missed.
