GEORGE NEWS - George Sport Shooting Club sent its Outeniqua Airgun Club to participate in the Western Province Hunter Field Target Provincial Championship in Cape Town at the end of February.
The team did extremely well with a second place in PCP open class for Martél Jacobs and a first place in recoil class for André Badenhorst.
Two learners of Outeniqua High School, Marissa de Jager and Johanellé Kotzé, aced the u.18 junior class, claiming first and second place respectively, while the third place went to Cronjé de Villiers of Mckinley Reid.

In the u.13 junior class, two learners of George South Primary impressed with the youngest team member at only seven years old, Walter Jnr van der Merwe, taking second place, and Christiaan Kotzé in third place.
Martél Jacobs will represent George on the WP team competing in the South African Hunter Filed Target National Championship to be held at the George Sport Shooting Club on 26 and 27 March, with representation from Gauteng and Eastern Cape.
