GEORGE NEWS - This past weekend, Eden Aquatics hosted the Western Cape Junior Inter-district Level 1 Team Championships at Holy Cross Primary School in George.
Young swimmers of Eden Aquatics, Cape Town Aquatics, Cape Winelands and Central Karoo Districts took part in the gala. On the scoreboard Cape Town took the lead, with Eden as the runner-up and Cape Winelands in the third place.
Eden swimmers received junior Eden colours for participation in this gala.
A total of 100 swimmers ranging from six to 16 years old participated in the event.
"This is the first time this championship took place again after the Covid pandemic," said Raymond Pollicutte, manager of Eden Aquatics.
"Next year's hosts will be Cape Town Aquatics and we hope all the districts, including Overberg and West Coast, will also take part. We would like to thank Holy Cross Primary School for the use of their excellent venue and co-operation in making this gala happen!"
