GEORGE FOOTBALL NEWS - The Kay Motsepe Schools Cup u.19 soccer tournament kicks off today, 28 July, at the Lawaaikamp Stadium for all the high schools in George.
The schools that will participate are: Thembalethu High, Jonga High, Imizamo Yethu High and Pacaltsdorp High.
The top high school will represent George in the Regional Kay Motsepe u.19 Schools Cup on 6 August in Mossel Bay.
In the first match, that starts at 15:00, Thembalethu High will play against Pacaltsdorp High.
George Herald spent some time with Imizamo Yethu High’s head coach, Zonwabele Dlala, yesterday during their preparations at the Imizamo Yethu sports complex . Dlala said they have been training for some weeks to sharpen the boys, and they are more than ready for the challenge.
“It's up to the boys to compete and work hard on the field to get positive results,” Dlala added. “It's not going to be easy; the boys need to push forward and work as a team in order for us to get a positive outcome. Our team has a bunch of talented young boys. The boys need to work together to achieve our goals.”
