GEORGE NEWS - A community initiative is raising funds to help the learners of Parkdene High School attend their matric dance.
The Bridge to the Matric Dance initiative, organised by the Touwsranten Initiative for Parkdene High, is giving people the chance to win an original painting created by a learner and inspired by a photograph of the Kaaiman's train bridge by Ferdie Müller Photography.
The raffle tickets cost R25, and the painting is valued at R7 000. All proceeds will go towards helping those learners who might not otherwise be able to attend their matric dance.
Entries close on 1 September. There is also a prize for the top ticket seller, who will win a photoshoot by Ferdie Müller Photography.
