NATIONAL NEWS - A light aircraft crashed in Albertyn Street in Vorna Valley today, 8 October. Ria Sebetsa Security Services, Netcare 911 and residents are on the scene.
According to Ria Sebetsa Security Services CEO, Danny Maduray, the aircraft crashed in the backyard of a residential property.
Although it has not yet been established how many occupants were aboard the plane, the pilot of the aircraft as well as a gardener have died. This is according to Netcare 911 Media Liason Officer, Shawn Herbst.
“All necessary authorities are on scene and have secured the area for a South African Civil Aircraft Aviation investigation,” Herbst said.
