Jacques Steenkamp has accepted a job in New Zealand and resigned from the SABC on Monday.
Steenkamp and seven other journalists were fired and later reinstated after publicly opposing the SABC’s controversial policy, which banned the broadcast of images of violent and destructive protests.
They will be continuing with their Constitutional Court application to oppose unlawful conduct at the public broadcaster.
Steenkamp posted a message on his Facebook account yesterday saying he will no longer be working at the SABC until November as planned.
