NATIONAL NEWS - The ANC officially announced its report of resolutions taken at its 54th national conference in December last year.
Party secretary-general Ace Magashule said the conference presented party members with an opportunity for introspection, self-criticism and renewal.
“The ANC can unequivocally and proudly say that we emerged from this conference invigorated and renewed to continue serving the people of South Africa,” he said.
He said delegates took fundamental resolutions aimed at radically transforming the lives of the people for the better.
“Our tasks now are to transform these resolutions into programmes that will make a meaningful and lasting difference to people’s existence.”
Magashule said the party was committed to addressing the historical injustice of land dispossessions, and he reaffirmed that land expropriation without compensation would be pursued as a matter of policy.
“We shall give effect to this resolution in a manner that strengthens the agricultural sector, improves economic growth and meaningfully addresses inequality and unemployment,” he said.
