York Street accident: Car flips over

GEORGE NEWS - Two George residents had a narrow escape in front of the Civic Centre in York Street at lunchtime today when a Kia Sportage flipped over after being hit square on the side by a Toyota RunX.

Eye witness Mariette Minnaar saw the Toyota, that had just passed her at the traffic light, hit the Kia that was crossing York Street from a side road.

The driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital complaining of neck injuries while the driver of the Kia injured his hand.
