GEORGE NEWSFLASH - At approximately 01:30 yesterday morning, Wednesday 29 November, two trucks had a narrow escape when they nearly collided on the N2 in Wilderness.
According to an eyewitness, Sandy Gush, the driver of a truck travelling towards George apparently fell asleep behind the wheel when the vehicle grazed an oncoming truck, hitting its mirror.
The trailer of the truck travelling towards Knysna sustained slight damage.
There was no serious damage to any of the trucks.
One of them came to a standstill in the bushes next to the road.
No injuries were reported.
The trailer of one of the trucks was slightly damaged.
The driver had a lucky ‘soft landing’.
