GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - A group of about 50 Samwu members joined a protest march today, hoping to create awareness of what they call unfair labour practices, economic growth and a long list of issues relating to decent work situations.
This, Provincial Secretary John Mcanjana says, is in line with World Day for Decent Work, celebrated on 7 October.

District Mayor Memory Booysen was there to sign the memorandum. George Municipality did not send a representative to receive Samwu's memorandum.

Samwu demanded feedback by 30 November.
The protest action continued today without any unwanted incidents. Police accompanied the march and handover of the memorandum.
