GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - Life Christian Academy (LCA), which launched its first Grade 1 classes at the beginning of this year, started taking on applications for their first Grade 2 learners at an open day on Saturday 21 October.
It was held at the school in Parkdene at the Life Community Services premises on Mandela Boulevard.
Prospective parents and their children flocked to a marquee tent that was put up for the occasion.
There were happy children all over the place.

Some were keen on colouring in pictures in one of the bright, colourful classrooms.
The day's programme included singing and rhyming performances by some of the learners to show off what they have learnt.
LCA is the culmination of a vision of Life's CEO, Maryna de Vries to create continuity in the education of the children from Life's early childhood development (ECD) learning centres through to school level.
The school launched this year with 26 Grade 1s, who were divided into two classes.
