GEORGE NEWS - George Municipal Court welcomes a new prosecutor, Adv Megan Hopewell, in their fold. Hopewell (32), originally from Gauteng, completed her LLB degree at the University of Pretoria and was admitted as an advocate in January 2013.
Hopewell worked as a judicial practitioner on the instructions of LegalAid South Africa in the Garden Route from 2017.
As the prosecutor for the municipal court, she will be prosecuting all traffic violations and violations of municipal by-laws, which includes managing and providing municipal court services such as considering written representations received from the public, preparation of court cases and ensuring efficient, just and fair administration of cases.
