GEORGE NUUS - Die Kleynhans Foundation NPC het ’n dringende beroep op die publiek, besighede, instansies en kontrakteurs gedoen vir hulpverlening nadat die onlangse windstorm die dak van die AGM-gebou in Proteastraat, Pacaltsdorp, weggewaai het.
Die gebou vorm ’n kerndeel van Pacaltsdorp se gemeenskapsaktiwiteite en word gebruik vir vergaderings, begrafnisse, opleiding en talle ander gemeenskapsgeleenthede.
Marchell Kleynhans, algemene bestuurder van die Kleynhans Foundation, wat die herstelwerk aan die gebou koördineer, sê enige hulp - of dit boumateriaal, arbeid, vervoer of finansiële ondersteuning is - sal opreg waardeer word.
“George het homself telkemale bewys as ’n gemeenskapsgeoriënteerde samelewing wat saamstaan in tye van nood. Saam kan ons hierdie belangrike gemeenskapsfasiliteit weer opbou vir die mense van Pacaltsdorp,” sê Kleynhans.

Urgent assistance needed after storm blows roof off AGM building in Pacaltsdorp
The Kleynhans Foundation NPC has made an urgent appeal to the public, businesses, institutions, and contractors for assistance following recent windstorms that completely blew off the roof of the AGM building in Protea Street, Pacaltsdorp.
The building forms a core part of Pacaltsdorp’s community activities and is used for meetings, funerals, training, and numerous other community events.
Marchell Kleynhans, general manager of the Kleynhans Foundation, who is coordinating the repair work on the building, says that any assistance - whether in the form of building materials, labour, transport, or financial support - would be sincerely appreciated.
“George has repeatedly proven itself to be a community-oriented society that comes together in times of need. Together we can rebuild this important community facility for the people of Pacaltsdorp,” says Kleynhans.
