GEORGE NEWS - Three people were taken in for questioning following the theft of two new Isuzu bakkies at George Municipality's premises in Mitchell Street on Friday night, 5 April.
According to information, the white bakkies with canopies had municipal branding on the side of the doors, but no registration number plates.
Sgt Chris Spies, the Southern Cape police spokesperson, said the theft was reported to the police on Saturday after the gates to the premises were found open.
"Investigation into this matter is underway. Three men were taken into custody over the past weekend. They are yet to be charged."
