GEORGE NEWS - A memorial service for Dr Rory Dower will be held at the Presbyterian Church on Friday 25 August at 11:30.

Dower, retired general practitioner who had a long and fruitful career in George, passed away on Saturday 5 August at the age of 82, as reported in George Herald last week.

Dower was the leader of the general practitioners' group for many years and the medical officer for the Harry Comay TB Hospital for 35 years. 

He was also instrumental in the development of Geneva Clinic.
