Update

GEORGE NEWS - Buses from Parkdene are still delayed due to special law enforcement operations against illegal taxi operators, with Route 51 Parkdene Community temporarily suspended.

Affected routes:

Route 15 Parkdene-CBD,
Route 18 Parkdene-Blanco,
Route 16 Parkdene-GR Mall and
Route 51 Parkdene Community.

Go George apologise for this inconvenience to passengers and will provide regular updates regarding the situation.

Law enforcement operation continues

Law enforcement operation is ongoing with taxis being inspected for permits and licences as required by law.

Please Note: Passengers should at all costs avoid getting into an illegally operating vehicle because there is an increased risk that that vehicle might be impounded with passengers left stranded.

At the same time, they don’t have the benefit that the vehicle has had to go through a roadworthy test, which is mandatory when obtaining an operating licence.
