GEORGE NEWS - A woman from George with Covid-19 was admitted to Mediclinic George last night, Wednesday 13 May.
This was confirmed by hospital manager Kassie Karstens.
The woman is one of three active Covid-19 cases in George recorded by the Western Cape Health Department.
The department does not provide personal information regarding Covid-19 cases. District spokesperson for the department Nadia Ferreira said she can only confirm that, when a person is tested positive, all contacts are traced and, where necessary, asked to quarantine and isolate.
The three latest cases were added to the district's statistics on Monday 11 May, Tuesday 12 May and Wednesday 13 May respectively.
A total of 72 cases have been reported in the Garden Route and Little Karoo as of 13 May at 13:00.
