GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - The Miles to create Smiles team from George left for Cape Town on Tuesday morning, 5 March. They will be cycling to Cape Town over the next few days and join the Cape Argus on Sunday.
This year the funds they collect will be in aid of a local 12-year-old girl with Metastatic Ewing sarcoma cancer, children with diabetes, children with Noonan Syndrome* and the fight against human trafficking.
The team of six cyclists, Hennie Otto, Elroy Saayman, Kevin Saayman, Dyllan Anderson and Richard and Sandy Moir, made their first stop in Riversdale on Tuesday afternoon.
From Riversdale they cycled to Riviersonderend on Wednesday. Today they will stop in Caledon and if all goes according to plan they will tackle the last stretch to Somerset West tomorrow.

* Noonan syndrome is a condition that affects many areas of the body. It is characterised by mildly unusual facial features, short stature, heart defects, bleeding problems, skeletal malformations, and many other signs and symptoms. Children with Noonan Syndrome reach an average age of 12.
