GEORGE NEWS - After quite a lengthy AGM this morning the motion of no confidence against the current SPCA committee was withdrawn.
The motion, that was innitiated by former SPCA committee member, was withdrawn after both parties gave their versions of events leading to the suspension of SPCA management staff earlier this year.
A new committee was nominated and elected shortly afterwards. Serving on the committee will be Bruno MacDonald, Michelle Gratz, Marius de Waal, Rita Brock and three new members, Helga Krietsch, Ethne McFarlane and Wendy Thompson.
