WESTERN CAPE NEWS - Strong winds, waves of up to 5m and a cold front can be expected in the Western Cape over the coming week.
The South African Weather Service issued the following warnings:
Level 1 Yellow: WIND
On Tuesday strong North Westerly interior winds are expected over the Northern and Western Cape provinces.
Level 4 Yellow: RAIN
On Tuesday, and into Wednesday, significant rainfall amounts are expected over the western high lying areas of the Western Cape Province.
Level 5 Orange: WIND
On Wednesday until Thursday strong to gale force North Westerly interior winds are expected over the Northern and Western Cape provinces.
Level 2 Yellow: SNOW
On Wednesday into Thursday snowfalls are expected over the Cedarberg and Karoo Hoogland local municipalities as well as over the Cape Winelands, and Central Karoo district mountains.
Coastal: Level 4 Yellow: WIND
On Wednesday into Thursday strong to gale force North Westerly winds are expected South of Hondeklip Bay and spreading along the south coast during Thursday.
Coastal: Level 2 Yellow: WAVES
Wave heights of 4 to 5 meters are expected along the entire coastline, spreading to Knysna on Thursday.
