GEORGE NEWS - Five people who shared a communal shack in Zone 9, Thembalethu lost everything on Friday evening after a fire engulfed the five rooms they lived in.
While the occupants were sitting outside, they noticed smoke coming from their shack and before they knew it, the shack was burning.
The cause of the fire in KwaNompumelelo is still unknown.
According to Faith Mdaka, ward councillor of the area, the fire started at about 20:00.
No one was injured.
