GEORGE NEWS – The case against Eldrin ‘Whitey’ Nimmerhout and Ricardo Prins, accused in the violent attack on a retired minister, Dr Louis Ronald Petersen (84) of Pacaltsdorp, has been transferred to the George Regional Court.
The two accused are expected to appear again on Monday 8 June.
Prins has been in custody since 18 September 2025, while Nimmerhout was arrested the following day.
Petersen was attacked and seriously assaulted in his garage in Disastraat, Pacaltsdorp, in September last year.
He had just returned from town when a man allegedly pulled open his car door. He was threatened with a replica firearm and robbed.
After a struggle, he managed to escape and seek help from neighbours, but when they returned, the attackers and the stolen items were already gone.
