GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - Mr. Tekkie, South Africa's brand-new retailer of branded footwear and apparel, was officially launched in Cape Town last Thursday, 25 October.
Three stores opened in October - one in Acornhoek, one in Bloemfontein and one in Cape Town. On Black Friday, 23 November, 11 more stores will open their doors.
Among them are two stores in George - one in the Eden Meander Lifestyle Centre and one in the CBD.
They stock brand names like Under Armour, Vans, Puma, Asics, Ecko, Hi-Tec, Oakley, Urbanart, Starter, DC, Grasshoppers and many more.

Mr. Tekkie CEO Bernard Mostert said, "It is a huge honour to bring about something positive out of all the negative surrounding Steinhoff. Mr. Tekkie is a business that we see as something that we can eventually manage complementary to Tekkie Town when the court decides to give the latter back to us."
