In addition the new factory's solar installation has a 100kw capability generating enough power for the production process.
Outeniqua Mountain Water bottles have a sophisticated and attractive design and are presented in 500ml and 750ml sizes, available in sparkling and still varieties.
With a clear "return, recycle, refill" policy on glass, the company not only uses material with the lowest carbon footprint for bottled water, but also extends the life cycle of this green packaging product.
Local manufacture allows for highly competitive pricing with a refundable deposit on the water bottles and the crates. The glass bottles are collected from customers, are cleaned, and sanitized in an automated process.
The new glass bottled water range is in production and is ready for delivery and distribution.
Tooti Fruti owner Puma Kottwitz and Managing Director Tony Kaleb pride themselves in the semi-automated production of consistent quality products within a controlled hygienic environment.
The factory uses state-of-the-art, imported and locally manufactured equipment for all their production situated in Steinhoff Industrial Park. German born Puma Kottwitz's international business acumen and vision, along with his love for South Africa and the Garden Route, are also intrinsically linked to previous projects such as the establishment of Glenwood School in George.
Through innovation and forward thinking, the company will soon be launching a home delivery service for their glass bottled water called Bottle Express. This service will utilise a sophisticated online order system via an App and the company website offering predetermined delivery schedules throughout the Garden Route.
The company's current customer base includes retailers, schools, restaurants, hotels and world-class resorts such as Fancourt, Oubaai, Pezula and Pinnacle Point. The glass bottle concept will specifically target hotels, restaurants and guest houses throughout the Garden Route.
Tooti Fruti has been manufacturing superior beverages for the past eight years and is the only producer of 100% fruit juice blend endorsed by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of South Africa.
The company proudly believes in supporting local businesses and growing a skilled workforce. They currently employ 23 people and strive to source materials and services from the Garden Route region.
