GEORGE NEWS - George Municipality's electrical teams are responding to several power outages affecting parts of George.

Traffic Intersections down

Several traffic intersections are down due to faulty traffic lights, and motorists are requested to treat them as a four-way stop at all times.

ESKOM 132kV is off, and George has taken on the load via our 66kV. Several substations have tripped; the George substation has been restored, but the Glenwood sub will remain off due to a broken 66kV structure. No Estimated Time of Repair (ETR) yet.
