GEORGE NEWS - A planned construction activity of the upgrading of Meul sewage pumpstation is scheduled to take place today, 13 August, during the normal working hours.
Due to the nature of activities for the day, it is envisaged that the contractor will be on site until 22:00 (outside working hours).
Service disruption
The contractor will be doing a switch over from a temporary bypass to a newly refurbished inlet works at the Meul sewage pump station, and no service should be interrupted.
Traffic impact: None
Access to site
Access to the construction site will be strictly controlled. In accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, no members of the public will be allowed in the construction area.
