GEORGE NEWS - Residents are advised that George Municipality has placed a temporary wood chipper at the corner of Merriman and Union Streets to assist the public with the disposal of storm-related tree branches and green waste.
Residents may bring branches measuring between 6cm and 10cm in diameter for chipping, instead of travelling to the landfill site.
The chipper will operate today until 15:00 and will again be available tomorrow from 08:00 to 15:00.
Residents are requested to cooperate with officials on-site and to ensure that only suitable green waste is brought to the facility.
