George Speaker Sean Snyman, alongside other cancer survivors, brought colour and energy to the red carpet in their hippie-themed outfits while being escorted by handsome NSRI lifesavers during Wings of Hope George’s fourth annual fundraiser fashion show on Saturday, 9 May.The event celebrated cancer survivors, patients currently undergoing treatment, and the everyday heroes who support them. This year’s show carried the theme “Unsung Heroes”, with members of the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) accompanying the models down the runway in a tribute to people who quietly dedicate themselves to helping others. Bridal Inn at Shamrock Place, owned by Caren Ogilvie, donated the women’s formal wear, while Just a Wish in Knysna Road and Amigo’s in York Street provided clothing free of charge. The Moth Hall was also sponsored as the venue for the evening.
