George
George and the surrounding areas were left battered after powerful gale-force winds tore through the region over the past few days, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Roofs were ripped from homes, trees were uprooted across the city, traffic signs were blown away and widespread power outages affected residents. Tragically, two people also lost their lives in separate wind-related incidents. These photos capture some of the devastation left behind as communities begin the long process of recovery.
