GEORGE NEWS - As part of its Mandela Day 103 Acts of Kindness initiative, PathCare George has donated a month's supply of groceries to Meals on Wheels Community Services in George.
The groceries were purchased from Margot Swiss and will help the organisation continue providing meals to vulnerable members of the community.
Meals on Wheels Community Services has been serving the local community since 1 October 2001.
The organisation delivers cooked meals to elderly beneficiaries twice a week, supports school feeding programmes and soup kitchens, provides meals to people experiencing homelessness in partnership with Christian Rehabilitation Ministries to the Homeless in George (Cremhog), and runs a sandwich project for parents of children in the paediatric ward at George Provincial Hospital.

It also distributes samp and beans to service points across the Southern Cape, including the Little Karoo, Joubertina, Uniondale and Bergplaas.
Branch manager Cora Fourie thanked PathCare George for its generous support. "PathCare's contribution will help us continue providing nutritious meals and hope to the many people who rely on our services every week," she said.
