The former Stormers coach was today unveiled by South African rugby as the successor to Heyneke Meyer.
With just nine weeks to prepare for his first test in charge, Coetzee will have to hit the ground running.
The newly appointed coach believes South Africa will support his campaign, and this new era of South African rugby.
“South Africans, in general, have been good to me. While I was coaching the Stormers, coming up to Pretoria and Johannesburg. I’ve always had good experiences with rugby-loving people. I’m sure those people will be rallying behind the Springboks this year, and even drive me to greater heights so we can take the team to where it should be.”
