Eight health workers were saluted for their utter dedication and commitment during their 40 years of service to patients and the community. From left: Hermann Fredericks and Sabina Kannemeyer (Mossel Bay hospital), Catharina Struthers (Mossel Bay sub-district), Herman Dippenaar (Riversdale hospital) and Ragel van Heerden and Margaret Voorman (Uniondale hospital). Absent: Irna Olkers (Mossel Bay hospital) and Anna Kruger (Riversdale hospital).

GEORGE NEWS - Dedicated employees who have 20, 30 and 40 years' service at the Western Cape Government Health in the Garden Route District were honoured at a special Long Service Awards ceremony at the Protea Hotel King George on Friday 19 October.

Each of the recipients has devoted between 20 and 40 years of their lives to public service and were recognised for their uninterrupted service and the significant impact they have had on service delivery. 

This year 97 employees received long service awards.
