NATIONAL NEWS - President Jacob Zuma says African National Congress (ANC) Members of Parliament (MPs) who voted with the opposition in a bid to unseat him should be disciplined.
This is the first time that Zuma has spoken about how he believes MPs who voted against him should be dealt with.
He survived last week’s secret ballot by 21 votes after 198 MPs voted in favour of him and 177 in opposition.
Meanwhile, former Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan says it remains to be seen whether honest people can advance in the ANC after the majority of the party's MPs rallied around Zuma during the motion.
Gordhan spoke to Eyewitness News on the sidelines of the Absa Jewish Achiever awards in Midrand last night where he was honoured with the Chivas Humanitarian Award.
