Die 19-jarige Donavan Jantjies van Grashopper Outeniqua George-atletiekklub het Vrydagaand die Hope-kerk se nagveldwedloop by die Botaniese Tuin maklik in 37:30 gewen. Die wedlope is deur Nedbank SWD-atletiekklub aangebied. Die junior atleet Godwin Heyns (40:00) en Elfonzo Pieterse (40:47), albei van Nedbank SWD, was onderskeidelik tweede en derde oor die wenstreep. Darren Elsom (1:10.28) van Nedbank SWD en Derick Hill (1:10-51), wat in tydelike kleure deelgeneem het, was tweede en derde in die junior-afdeling.
