George business entrepreneur, Myrtle Barnes beamed with joy after it was announced that she is the winner of the George Mayoral Entrepreneurship Awards. At an awards ceremony held last week Wednesday (8 June) at the George Civic Centre, this events coordinator walked off with the first prize, being a R7 500 cheque. The runner up, Johannes Viljoen, co-owner of the highly successful Farm Fresh Direct won a R5 000 cash prize; and Marlon Voster co-owner of the Insomniac Party Bus, won R2 500. The top three also received several other prizes. The other 15 finalists each received a R1 000 cash prize.
