Fundraiser for Smile Foundation
At a successful wine tasting evening, sponsored by Meridian Wines and Heather Park SuperSpar, on Tuesday 29 March, Donavon Kohne, a participant in Sunday's Iron Man South Africa competition on behalf of the Smile Foundation, said he has collected just under R50 000 for the Smile Foundation so far. "If I get to R50 000, which is only R900 away, the Smile Foundation will refund my R5 000 entry fee for the IronMan, which I will add to the fundraising. Maybe R60 000 isn’t a pipe dream anymore," said Kohne.
