Citizen of the year
Dr Jacques van Staden, a general practitioner who devotes his life to caring for children with diabetes, is the George Herald’s first Citizen of the Year. Group Editors Operations Manager, Nicole Rimbault, told the finalists gathered at the awards ceremony at Botanical Brew tea garden at the Garden Route Botanical Gardens on Saturday 30 January, that they are an inspiration to the citizens of George.
