Correctional Services personnel, accompanied by male, female and juvenile inmates, walked the streets of Thembalethu and Conville this morning handing out books to raise awareness for the 6th Funda Mzantsi Competition to take place in George later this month. The aim of the project is to promote a culture of reading, encourage book discussions and improve reading skills. The Funda Mzantsi campaign is a collaboration between Centre for the Book (CFB) and the Department of Correctional Services.
