Taxis were blocking the Fourways intersection at the entrance to Thembalethu this morning, demanding the release of a taxi driver that was arrested and thrown into the back of a police vehicle. The stand-off between the police and the taxi drivers was extremely tense with taxi drivers saying, "the police can kill us, we won't budge!"
