GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - The annual Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge has kicked off!
About 50 participants are taking place in the first event of the day, the 10km race.
This will be followed by the 21.1km and 42.2km races at 08:00. The fun ride starts at 11:00.
Lots or festivities are expected throughout the day and residents are asked to come and support as participants race through the streets of George.
Motorists are also advised to be extra careful on the roads.
Among the dignitaries who are in attendance is Western Cape MEC of cultural affairs and sport, Anroux Marais.
