The Madiba road race was once again successfully hosted by SWD Athletics and George Municipality on Saturday 22 July. Runners of the 10 km and 21,1 km races started at Unity Park at the top of York Street, made their way to the Easterly part of George and ended at Unity Park again. Donovan Jantjies (Nedbank SWD) took 1st place in the 10 km run with a time of 28:19, Wouter Frazenberg (Outeniqua Harriers) was 2nd , and in 3rd place was Wayden Kombela.George athlete, Lloyd Bosman, was 1st in the 21,1 km with a time of 1:08:12, in 2nd place was Godwin Heyns and John April took 3rd place. All 3 belong to the Nedbank SWD running club.
