25 trees for cemetery in Arbour Week
George Municipality and local schools celebrated Arbour Week with the planting of 25 trees, sponsored by Aurecon, at the York Street Cemetery on 7 September. Environmental Services Portfolio Councillor Marlene Barnardt thanked Heidedal, Hibernia, Parkdene and Holy Cross Primary Schools for participating in the event and for planting trees at their schools and communities.
